Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	PERFORM TCM DTC INSPECTION Perform the TCM DTC inspection using the M-MDS (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC INSPECTION [FS5A-EL] .) (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC INSPECTION [AW6A-EL] .) Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC TABLE [FS5A-EL] .) (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM DTC TABLE [AW6A-EL] .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	PERFORM BCM DTC INSPECTION Clear the DTC using the M-MDS (See CLEARING DTC [BCM] ) Perform the BCM DTC inspection using the M-MDS (See DTC INSPECTION [BCM] .) Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Replace the TCM, then go to the next step (See TCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FS5A-EL] .)
2		No	Go to Step 4
3	VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED Clear the DTC using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [BCM] .) Perform the BCM DTC inspection using the M-MDS (See DTC INSPECTION [BCM] .) Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Replace the BCM, then go to the next step. (See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [BCM] .)
4		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
