Off-Vehicle Inspection

WARNING:

A hot ATF and beaker can cause severe burns. Do not touch them.

Place the TFT sensor and a thermometer in ATF as shown in the figure, and heat the ATF gradually.

Measure the resistance between the coupler component terminals B7 and B8.

If there is any malfunction, replace the coupler component. (See TRANSAXLE FLUID TEMPERATURE (TFT) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AW6A-EL] .)
