DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection		Action
1	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION Clear the DTC from the instrument cluster and PCM memory using the M-MDS See CLEARING DTC [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM)] . Perform the immobilizer system (keyless entry system) DTC inspection using the M-MDS See DTC INSPECTION [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM)] . Are the following DTCs present? U0001:88	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION Clear the DTC from the instrument cluster and PCM memory using the M-MDS See CLEARING DTC [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM)] . Perform the immobilizer system (keyless entry system) DTC inspection using the M-MDS See DTC INSPECTION [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM)] . Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Replace the PCM and program the immobilizer system-related parts, then go to the next step. See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L5] . See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZI-3.7] . See IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-RELATED PARTS PROGRAMMING [KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM] .
2		No	Go to Step 4.
3	VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED Clear the DTC from the instrument cluster and PCM memory using the M-MDS. See CLEARING DTC [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM)] . Perform the immobilizer system (keyless entry system) DTC inspection using the M-MDS See DTC INSPECTION [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM)] . Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Replace the instrument cluster and program the immobilizer system-related parts, then go to the next step. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION . See IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-RELATED PARTS PROGRAMMING [KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM] .
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. See DTC TABLE [IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM (KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM)] .
4		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
