Check Code Inspection

Check code 01 

CAN SYSTEM CHART

Check code 01 CAN system
INSPECTION CONDITION DISPLAY ACTION
Select the check code 01 OK CAN system of information display is normal.
U001088 CAN system communication error (DTC U001088). See FOREWORD [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM] .

Check code 02 

COMMUNICATION STATUS CHART

Check code 02
  • Communication status to audio unit
  • Communication status to climate control unit
  • Communication status to instrument cluster
INSPECTION CONDITION DISPLAY ACTION
Select the check code 02. (The diagnostic results will be displayed once each in the order of audio unit and heater control unit and instrument cluster) 02 | OK All communications are normal
Audio unit OK ACU Communication to audio unit is normal.
U018400ACU Communication error to audio unit (DTC U0184:00). See FOREWORD [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM] .
None ACU Vehicle without audio unit
Climate control unit OK EATC Communication to climate control unit is normal
U016400EATC Communication error to climate control unit. (DTC U0164 00). See FOREWORD [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM] .
None EATC Vehicle without climate control unit
Instrument cluster OK HEC Communication to instrument cluster is normal
U015500HEC Communication error to instrument cluster. (DTC U0155:00). See FOREWORD [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM] .

Check code 04 

CHECK CODE REFERENCE

Check code 04 TNS ON/OFF signal
STEP INSPECTION CONDITION DISPLAY ACTION
1 Turn the light switch to the TNS position ON Go to the next step
OFF Verify that the voltage of information display terminal C is B+  .
  • If the voltage is as specified, replace the information display
  • If the voltage is not as specified, inspect the following parts:
    • Light switch
    • Wiring harness (Light switch-information display)
2 Turn the light switch off ON Verify that the voltage of the information display terminal C is 1.0 V or less 
  • If the voltage is as specified, replace the information display.
  • If the voltage is not as specified, inspect the following parts
    • Light switch
    • Wiring harness (Light switch-information display)
OFF Input signal to the information display is normal.

Check code 06 

CHECK CODE REFERENCE

Check code 06 Ignition switch ON/OFF signal
STEP INSPECTION CONDITION DISPLAY ACTION
1 Switch the ignition to ON. ON Go to the next step.
OFF Verify that the voltage of information display terminal E is B+ 
  • If the voltage is as specified, replace the information display.
  • If the voltage is not as specified, inspect the following parts:
    • Ignition switch(1)
    • Push button start(2)
    • Wiring harness (Battery-ignition switch(1)-information display)
    • Wiring harness (Battery-push button start(2)-information display)
2 Switch the ignition to off. ON Verify that the voltage of the information display terminal E is 1.0 V or less. 
  • If the voltage is as specified, replace the information display.
  • If the voltage is not as specified, inspect the following parts:
    • Ignition switch(1)
    • Push button start(2)
    • Wiring harness (Battery-ignition switch(1)-information display)
    • Wiring harness (Battery-push button start(2)-information display)
OFF Input signal to the information display is normal.
(1) Without advanced keyless entry and push button start system
(2) With advanced keyless entry and push button start system

Check code 08 

CHECK CODE REFERENCE

Check code 08 INFO switch ON/OFF signal
STEP INSPECTION CONDITION DISPLAY ACTION
1 INFO switch is pressed ON Go to the next step.
OFF Verify that the voltage of information display terminal F is B+  .
  • If the voltage is as specified, replace the information display.
  • If the voltage is not as specified, inspect the following parts:
    • INFO switch
    • Wiring harness (INFO switch-information display)
2 INFO switch is not operated ON Verify that the voltage of the information display terminal F is 1.0 V or less  .
  • If the voltage is as specified, replace the information display.
  • If the voltage is not as specified, inspect the following parts:
    • INFO switch
    • Wiring harness (INFO switch-information display)
OFF Input signal to the information display is normal.

LCD
