Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) Indicator Light Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the inner garnish. (See INNER GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Apply battery voltage to power outer mirror terminal G, and terminal B to ground.
  4. Verify that the BSM indicator light illuminates.
    • If the light dose not illuminate, go to the next step.
  5. Remove the outer mirror glass. (See OUTER MIRROR GLASS REMOVAL .) (See OUTER MIRROR GLASS INSTALLATION .)
  6. Inspect for proper BSM indicator light connector connections, connection conditions, damage, corrosion, or deformation.
    • If there is any malfunction, replace the power outer mirror or outer mirror glass.

  7. Apply battery voltage to BSM indicator light terminal A, and terminal B to ground.
  8. Verify that the BSM indicator light illuminates.

  9. Verify that the continuity between the power outer mirror terminals is as indicated in the table.
