Removal Note

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See LIFTING .
Remove the lower intake manifold. See INTAKE MANIFOLD LOWER REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 3.0L , .
Remove the A/C compressor. See A/C COMPRESSOR REMOVAL / INSTALLATION -- 3.0L .
Remove the generator. See GENERATOR REMOVAL / INSTALLATION -- 3.0L .
Remove the power steering pump. See POWER STEERING PUMP - 2.3L , .
Remove the generator mounting bracket.

Remove the rocker arms and the push rods.

Remove the nut and detach the wiring harness bracket.

Remove the two stud bolts from the rear of the A/C compressor mounting bracket.

Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner.

Remove the bolts and remove the A/C compressor mounting bracket.

Remove the exhaust manifolds. See EXHAUST MANIFOLD RIGHT HAND REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 3.0L , and EXHAUST MANIFOLD LEFT HAND REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 3.0L .
Remove and discard the eight cylinder head bolts.

Remove the cylinder heads.
