Removal Note

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. See BATTERY DISCONNECT .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. See AIR CLEANER OUTLET TUBE REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 3.0L , .
  3. Remove the cooling fan blade and fan shroud. See COOLING FAN AND CLUTCH REMOVAL / INSTALLATION -- 3.0L .
  4. Remove the drive belt. See DRIVE BELT REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 3.0L , .
  5. Remove the crankshaft pulley.

  6. Remove the vibration damper bolt and the washer.

  7. Using Crankshaft Damper Remover SST  , remove the crankshaft damper

  8. Remove the crankshaft key, if required.
  9. Remove the crankshaft front oil seal.

  10. Install in the reverse order of removal by taking care of the following note.
