Engine Mount Rubber Removal / Installation - 2.3L

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. See LIFTING .
  2. Remove the front springs. See SPRING .

  3. Remove the pushpins and position the right inner fender splash shield out of the way.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Remove the clutch fan. See COOLING FAN AND CLUTCH REMOVAL / INSTALLATION -- 2.3L .

    NOTE:
    • Right hand shown, left hand similar.
  6. Remove the RH and LH engine support insulator nuts.
  7. Install the engine lifting eyes SST  (303-D050) or equivalent.
  8. Raise the engine with the 3-bar engine support kit SST  303-F-72 or equivalent.
  9. Raise and support the vehicle.
    NOTE:
    • Right hand shown, left hand similar.
  10. Remove the nuts and the engine support insulators.

    Tightening Torque: 

    103 Nm {10.5 kgf-m, 76 ft-lbf} 

  11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
