Water Pump Removal / Installation - 3.0L: Installation

- Position the water pump and loosely install the 10 bolts and 2 stud bolts.
- Tighten bolts 1-7 in the sequence shown. Tightening torque:25 Nm {2.5 kgf-m, 18 ft-lbf}
- Tighten bolts 8-12 in the sequence shown. Tightening torque:10 Nm {1.0 kgf-m, 89 in-lbf}
- Position the A/C compressor mounting bracket and install the front bolts. Tightening torque:51 Nm {5.2 kgf-m, 38 ft-lbf}
- Position the drive belt tensioner and install the bolt. Tightening torque:27 Nm {2.8 kgf-m, 20 ft-lbf}
- Connect the bypass hose.
- Install the A/C compressor mounting bracket side stud bolts. Tightening torque:47 Nm {4.8 kgf-m, 35 ft-lbf}
- Position the battery cable bracket and install the nut. Tightening torque:10 Nm {1.0 kgf-m, 89 in-lbf}
- Install the water pump pulley and the bolts. Tightening torque:25 Nm {2.5 kgf-m, 18 ft-lbf}

- Attach the wiring harness retainer.
- Connect the heater hose.
- Install the cooling fan and fan shroud. See COOLING FAN AND CLUTCH REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 3.0L .
- Install the air cleaner outlet tube. See AIR CLEANER OUTLET TUBE REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 3.0L
- Fill the engine coolant system. See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT - 3.0L .
