Radiator Removal / Installation - 4.0L

Drain the cooling system. See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT - 4.0L .

Disconnect the radiator overflow hose or radiator vent hose.
Remove the cooling fan shroud. See FAN SHROUD REMOVAL / INSTALLATION - 4.0L .

Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator.

Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the radiator.

NOTE:
- To avoid disturbing the transmission oil cooler fittings, use a backup wrench.
If equipped, disconnect the two transmission cooler lines.

Remove the bolts and tilt the radiator back and lift directly upward.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
