VERIFY THE SAFETY BELT WARNING INDICATOR OPERATION
NOTE:
- Verify the belt minder is activated before diagnosis.
- Key OFF.
- Unbuckle the driver safety belt.
- Key ON.
- Buckle the driver safety belt.
- Does the safety belt warning indicator operate correctly?

Go to step 2. |

CHECK CIRCUIT LB/P FOR AN OPEN OR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Disconnect the instrument cluster 0922-101.
- Disconnect RCM 0810-101.
- Measure the resistance between the instrument cluster 0922-101 pin 5, circuit LB/P, harness side and between the restraint control module 0810-101 pin 26, circuit LB/P, harness side; and the instrument cluster 0922-101 pin 5, circuit LB/P, harness side and ground.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the instrument cluster and RCM and greater than 10,000 ohms between the instrument cluster and ground?

Yes |
Go to step 3. |
| No |
Repair the circuit. Clear the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. |

CHECK FOR CORRECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION
- Disconnect all the instrument cluster connectors.
- Check for:
- corrosion
- pushed-out pins
- Connect all the instrument cluster connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?

Yes |
Install a new instrument cluster.

The system is operating correctly at this time.
The concern may have been caused by loose or corroded connector. |
