VERIFY THE SAFETY BELT WARNING INDICATOR OPERATION
- Key ON.
- Observe the safety belt warning indicator operation.
- Did the safety belt warning indicator prove out correctly?

Go to step 2. |

Go to step 5. |

CHECK CIRCUIT LG FOR AN OPEN
- Key OFF.
- Disconnect: Instrument Cluster 0922-102.
- Measure the resistance between the instrument cluster 0922-102 pin 9, circuit LG, harness side and ground with the safety belt buckled and unbuckled.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms with the safety belt unbuckled and greater than 10,000 ohms with the seat belt buckled?

Go to step 5. |

Go to step 3. |

CHECK CIRCUIT (B) FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: Driver Safety Belt Retractor Pretensioner 0810-105.
- Measure the resistance between the driver safety belt retractor pretensioner 0810-105 pin 2, circuit B, harness side and ground.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes |
Go to step 4. |
| No |
Repair the circuit. Test the system for normal operation. |

CHECK THE DRIVER SAFETY BELT RETRACTOR PRETENSIONER
- Measure the resistance between the driver safety belt retractor pretensioner 0810-105 pin 1, component side and the driver safety belt retractor pretensioner 0810-105 pin 4, component side with the safety belt buckled and unbuckled.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms with the safety belt unbuckled and greater than 10,000 ohms with the seat belt buckled?

Yes |
Go to step 5. |
| No |
Install a new driver safety belt retractor pretensioner. Test the system for normal operation. |

CHECK FOR CORRECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER OPERATION
- Disconnect all instrument cluster connectors.
- Check for:
- corrosion
- pushed-out pins
- Connect all instrument cluster connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?

Install a new instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. Clear the DTCs. REPEAT the instrument cluster self-test. |
