EGR Monitor Repair Verification Drive Cycle

NOTE: IAT  PID must read a minimum of 32°F (0°C) to initiate the EGR monitor.
  1. PerformVehicle Preparation For Drive Cycles .
  2. Drive in stop-and-go traffic for 5 minutes with at least two idle periods.
  3. Accelerate to 45 mph (72 km/h) and maintain speed for 1 minute. 4th gear is recommended on M/T vehicles.
  4. Bring the vehicle to a stop and access the ON-BOARD SYSTEM READINESS TESTS menu to check completion status.
    • If completed, EGR monitoring status changes from NO to YES.
    • If not completed, turn the key to OFF and repeat from step 2 at least one more time.
  5. Verify no DTCs are available with exception of P1000.
