Removal & Installation

NOTE: Make sure that the gearshift lever is in neutral and the parking brake is set.

Remove the gearshift lever knob. Remove the center console trim and gearshift lever boot. See Figure .

NOTE: During installation on vehicles equipped with adjustable shifter cables, adjust the shift cable. See GEARSHIFT CABLE under ADJUSTMENTS.

The second shift cable connection is located under the gearshift lever bracket. See Fig 1 . Disconnect the shifter cables from the shifter. Remove the shift cable clips. See Fig 2 .
Slide the shift cables forward and position them out of the way. See Fig 3 . Remove the bolts and the gearshift lever. See Fig 4 . To install, reverse removal procedure.
