Removal & Installation (Automatic Transmission)

NOTE:
When removing the stoplight switch, retain the bushing and hairpin clip. They will be required for installation.
Remove clip and stoplight switch. See Fig 1 . Separate push rod from brake pedal. Remove the brake booster push rod bushing. Remove the bulkhead sound insulator. Remove power brake unit-to-firewall nuts. Remove power brake unit from firewall and support the brake master cylinder and power brake booster in the engine compartment. Remove brake pedal bolts. Remove brake pedal. To install reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts/nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
