Ignition Timing Inspection

Perform ENGINE TUNE-UP PREPARATION .
Verify that the idle speed is within the specification.
- If not as specified, adjust the idle speed. (See IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT .)
Specification
1. 750-850 (800 +/- 50) RPM
Connect a timing light to the high-tension lead of the No.1 cylinder.
Verify that the timing mark (white) on the crankshaft pulley and the T mark on the timing belt cover are aligned.
Ignition timing
1. BTDC 9°--11° (10° +/- 1°) (TIMING MARK [YELLOW])
Disconnect the jumper wire.
Press "CANCEL".
Verify that the timing mark (yellow) is within the specification.

- If not as specified, inspect the following.
  - CMP sensor
  - CKP sensor
  - TP sensor
  - ECT sensor
  - Neutral switch (MT)
  - Clutch switch (MT)
  - TR switch (AT)
- If the devices are normal, replace the PCM.
