DESCRIPTION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

28	Gear position indicator light illuminates when in D range or P, N, R positions
DESCRIPTION	Gear position indicator light in instrument cluster illuminates in D range or P, N, R position with the ignition switch at ON.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	M range switch or related wiring harness malfunction NOTE: Before following the troubleshooting steps, make sure that the Automatic Transaxle On-Board Diagnostic and Automatic Transaxle Basic Inspection are conducted. (See BASIC INSPECTION .)
