"D" Position - O/D OFF switch off

NOTE:
NORMAL and SLOPE mode are automatically selected by the PCM. PCM shifts to SLOPE mode when upgrade or downgrade is about 4 percent or greater, and shifts to NORMAL mode when upgrade or downgrade is about 3 percent or less.
- Move gearshift lever to "D" position. Accelerate vehicle at half throttle and WOT. Ensure upshifts and downshifts are obtained at shift points specified. See SHIFT SPEED SPECIFICATIONS . Drive vehicle in 4th, 3rd and 2nd gears to verify kickdown occurs at shift points specified.
- Decelerate vehicle and verify engine braking effect is felt in 4th and 3rd gears. Drive vehicle to verify TCC operation is obtained at operating points specified. See SHIFT SPEED SPECIFICATIONS .
