"D" Position - O/D OFF Switch On

  1. Move gearshift lever to "D" position. Press O/D OFF switch to on position. Accelerate vehicle at half throttle and WOT. Ensure upshifts and downshifts are obtained at shift points specified. See SHIFT SPEED SPECIFICATIONS . Drive vehicle in 3rd and 2nd gears to verify kickdown occurs at shift points specified.
  2. Decelerate vehicle and verify engine braking effect is felt in 3rd gear. Drive vehicle to verify TCC operation is obtained in 3rd gear. Shift points should be as specified. See SHIFT SPEED SPECIFICATIONS .
