On-Vehicle Inspection

Connect 104-pin breakout box to PCM and harness connector. Remove dipstick from transaxle and install thermistor probe into filler tube. Start engine and allow it to idle. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between PCM harness connector terminals No. 37 and 91. See Figure. Resistance should decrease as fluid temperature rises. See TRANSAXLE FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE table. If TFT sensor resistance is not within specification, go to OFF-VEHICLE INSPECTION .
