Receiver/Drier Removal/Installation

- Recover the refrigerant; see REFRIGERANT SYSTEM TESTS .
- Disconnect the A/C cycling switch electrical connector.
- Disconnect the suction accumulator refrigerant lines. See SPRING LOCK COUPLING
.
- Discard the O-ring seals.
- Remove the three suction accumulator bracket screws and the suction accumulator.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- If a new suction accumulator is to be installed, transfer the A/C cycling switch to the new suction accumulator.
- Lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean refrigerant oil. See REFRIGERANT OIL ADDITION .
- Install new O-ring seals lubricated in clean refrigerant oil.
- Evacuate, leak test, and charge the refrigerant system. See REFRIGERANT SYSTEM TESTS .
CAUTION:
Use a back-up wrench to prevent damage to the tubes.
