Plenum Chamber Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the instrument panel.
  2. Drain the radiator.
  3. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater/evaporator core.
  4. Remove the heater/evaporator core housing; see EVAPORATOR CORE HOUSING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  .
  5. Remove the nuts.

    Tightening Torque 

    3.4-4.8 N.m {35-49 kgf.Cm, 31-42 in.lbf}. 

  6. Remove the plenum chamber.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Lubricate the coolant hoses with coolant hose lubricant or plain water if needed.
