Inspection Of Continuity

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Disconnect the O/D OFF switch connector.
Inspect continuity of the switch.
- If not as specified, replace the selector lever knob component. See O/D OFF SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .

If the switch is OK, inspect the wiring harness. (O/D OFF switch-powertrain control module, O/D OFF switch-Body ground.)
Install the front console.
Connect the negative battery cable.
