Oil Cooler Removal/Installation: Notes

- Remove the engine cover.
- Remove the battery cover.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Drain the ATF. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT .)
- Remove the following parts.
- Splash shield
- Under cover
- Battery tray, battery duct
- Air cleaner duct, air cleaner, air cleaner bracket
- PCM duct
- Catalytic converter (See EXHAUST SYSTEM .)
- Remove in the order indicated. See Fig 1.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Add ATF to the specified level. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT .)
- Inspect for oil leakage from the oil pipes and oil hoses.
- Inspect for coolant from the hoses.
- Inspect the ATF level and condition. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF) INSPECTION .)
- Perform the line pressure test. (See LINE PRESSURE TEST .)
- Perform the road test. (See ROAD TEST .)
