On-Vehicle Installation

- Position the manual valve so that it protrudes from the control valve body end by 3.0 mm (0.12 in).
- Install the control valve body while holding the manual valve in the position.
Tightening torque
6.9-8.8 N.m
(71-89 kgf.cm, 62-77 in.lb)
- Connect the solenoid connectors, then install harness clips.
- Apply a light coat of silicon sealant to the contact surfaces of the control valve body cover and transaxle case.
- Install the control valve body cover.

- Install the heater hose of engine side.
- Install the heater pipe bracket.
- Install the oil pipe bracket.
- Install the oil hose. (See OIL COOLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Install the thermostat case.
- Install the air cleaner component and air cleaner bracket. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Install the battery tray and battery.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Fill the transaxle with the specified ATF (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT .)
- Inspect for leakage of ATF from the oil pan or the oil hose connecting points.
- Carry out the mechanical system test. (See MECHANICAL SYSTEM TEST .)
- Carry out the road test. (See ROAD TEST .)
