Component Testing: Tachometer

Connect a tachometer to negative side of the ignition coil. Start engine to compare vehicle tachometer reading with test tachometer. See appropriate specification under TACHOMETER ALLOWABLE VARIATION TABLES  for tachometer allowable error.
