Removal & Installation (I-Mark & Spectrum)

  1. Disconnect negative cable at battery. Remove shifter handle. Remove floor console. Disconnect cable at shifter and remove adjusting nuts. Remove lower trim cover from steering column.
  2. Disconnect cable from column. Pull carpet rearward and remove cable. To install, reverse removal procedure and adjust cable. To adjust cable, place ignition key in "LOCK" position. Place shifter lever into park position.
  3. Pull cable forward at shifter bracket and tighten forward nut until it makes contact with bracket. Tighten rear nut until it makes contact with bracket and then tighten nuts.
