Pinpoint Test B: The HUD (Head Up Display) Setup Menu Does Not Display In The IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) Or Cannot Be Navigated

  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Head Up Display (HUD) - Overview .

    Possible Sources 

    • Message center concern
    • Steering wheel switch
    • HUD module

  2. B1 VERIFY MESSAGE CENTER OPERATION IN THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER)

    • Ignition ON.

    • Using the RH steering wheel switch, scroll through the menu selections in the IPC message center.

    Do the menu selections display in the IPC message center? 

    Yes  GO to Pinpoint Test A 
    No  DIAGNOSE the message center does not operate correctly. REFER to: Instrumentation, Message Center and Warning Chimes .
