Power Transfer Unit Input Shaft Seal: Removal

- Drain the PTU/transfer case. Refer to: Power Transfer Unit Draining and Filling .
- Remove the PTU/transfer case. Refer to: Power Transfer Unit .
- Remove the PTU head shield.
- Clean the PTU assembly.
- Remove and discard the PTU cover bolts and remove PTU cover.
- Remove and discard the PTU cover O-ring seal.
- Remove the input shaft assembly.
- Remove the LH input shaft seal.
- Remove the RH input shaft seal.
