Selector Shaft Seal: Installation

NOTE: Take extra care not to damage the seal.

NOTE: Make sure the component is clean and free of foreign material.

Using the special tool, install a new shift lever seal. Use Special Service Tool: 307-670 Remover/Installer, Shift Lever Seal.

Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)

1. Install the manual control lever.
2. NOTE: Make sure a new bolt is installed.
  
  Install new manual control lever bolt.
  
  Torque: 19 lb.ft (26 Nm)

1. NOTE: Make sure that a new component is installed.
  
  Using a punch, install a new clutch housing plug. Install the plug so it is level with the chamfer of the outer diameter of the plug hole.

Install the transmission. Refer to: Transmission - 2.0L Duratec-HE (125kW/170PS) - MI4 .
