Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor: Removal

- With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the retainers and the shield reinforcement.
- Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.

NOTE: Take extra care not to damage the wiring harnesses.
Remove and discard the tape from the electrical wiring harness.
- Disconnect the electrical wiring harness and remove the OSS sensor bolt.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Remove the OSS sensor.
- Remove and discard the OSS sensor O-ring seal.

NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of corrosion and foreign material.
Clean and inspect the OSS sensor bore surface.
