Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor: Installation

    1. Clean the OSS sensor.
    2. NOTE: Make sure that only a new component is installed.

      Lubricate the OSS sensor with clean transmission oil.

      Material: Motorcraft® Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid / XT-11-QDC (WSS-M2C200-D2)

  2. NOTE: Make sure that the surface is clean and free of foreign material before taping around the component.

    Wrap the insulation tape around the OSS sensor electrical wiring harness.

  3. Wrap the insulation tape around the electrical wiring harness.

  4. Wrap the insulation tape around the OSS sensor.

  8. Using pliers crimp the edge of the tape in the sequence shown.

  9. Position the underbody shield and install the retainers.
