Input Shaft Speed (ISS) Sensor: Installation

Sensor A 

1. 1. NOTE: Make sure that a new component is installed.

      Install a new O-ring and coat it with clean transmission fluid.

      Material: Motorcraft® Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid / XT-11-QDC (WSS-M2C200-D2)

   2. NOTE: Do not install the ISS sensor B shim on ISS sensor A. Be sure to install the same size shim as noted during removal. If the thickness of the speed sensor shim is incorrect, damage to the transmission can occur.

      Verify the thickness of the ISS sensor A shim and install the shim on the sensor. The ISS sensor A shim can be 2 different sizes depending on transmission gear ratios.

   • 3.5 mm (0.138 in)
   • 2.0 mm (0.079 in)

2. Install the ISS sensor A.

3. Install the ISS sensor A bolt and connect the electrical connector.

   Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

   Sensor B 

4. 1. NOTE: Make sure that a new component is installed.

      Install a new O-ring and coat it with clean transmission fluid.

      Material: Motorcraft® Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid / XT-11-QDC (WSS-M2C200-D2)

   2. NOTE: Do not install the ISS sensor A shim on ISS sensor B. Be sure to install the same size shim as noted during removal. If the thickness of the speed sensor shim is incorrect, damage to the transmission can occur.

      Verify the thickness of the ISS sensor B shim and install the shim on the sensor. The ISS sensor B shim can be 2 different sizes depending on transmission gear ratios.

   • 3.2 mm (0.126 in)
   • 1.4 mm (0.055 in)

5. Install the ISS sensor B.

6. Install the ISS sensor B bolt and connect the electrical connector.

   Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
