Transmission Case: Assembly

  1. NOTE: This step only applies to transmissions built after April-2013.

    Assemble the special tool. Using the special tools, install the oil spout. Use Special Service Tool: 307-672 Installer, Input Guide and Seal, 307-708 Installer, Lube Tube.

  2. Install the LH differential bearing cup. Use Special Service Tool: 204-594 Forcing screw, 307-678 Remover, Bearing Cone, 205-140 (T80T-4000-F) Installer, Drive Pinion Bearing Cup.

  3. Install a new halfshaft seal on the special tool. Use Special Service Tool: 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) Handle, 307-671 Installer, Axle Seal.

  4. Using the special tools, install a new LH halfshaft seal. Use Special Service Tool: 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) Handle, 307-671 Installer, Axle Seal.
