Test AP: Turn Signal Chime Not Operating Properly

  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect New Generation Star (NGS) tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). Using NGS tester, retrieve and record instrument cluster DTCs. Clear instrument cluster DTCs. Using NGS tester, perform instrument cluster self-test. If no instrument cluster DTCs exist, go to next step. If any instrument cluster DTCs exist, repair code related problem. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DTC INDEX  table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Operate turn signals. If turn signals operate properly, replace instrument cluster. If turn signals do not operate properly, repair turn signals as necessary. See AUTOLAMP SYSTEMS - LS article.
