Air Spring Solenoid: Removal

  1. Vent air spring to be serviced. See AIR SPRING FILL OR VENT  . Remove wheel. Disconnect electrical connector at air spring solenoid. Note air line routing for reassembly. To disconnect air line from solenoid, push inward on air line, depress release ring and pull air line from solenoid.
  2. Remove solenoid clip. Rotate air spring solenoid counterclockwise to first stop. See Figure . Pull air spring solenoid downward to second stop and allow remaining air to bleed from system.
  3. Rotate air spring solenoid counterclockwise to third stop. Remove air spring solenoid from air spring. Replace filter if oily. If filter is excessively oily, strut assembly is leaking oil and should be replaced.
