Parameter Identification (PID) Information Test

  1. This test is used to verify operation of input circuitry to vehicle dynamics module. To perform test, hook up New Generation Star (NGS) scan tester. See EQUIPMENT HOOK-UP  under TESTING & DIAGNOSIS. Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
  2. Rotate dial (on NGS tester) to menu item DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK, and press trigger to select and advance to next screen. Highlight and select VEHICLE DYNAMICS MODULE.
  3. Highlight and select menu item PID/DATA MONITOR AND RECORD. Highlight and select a PID acronym. Repeat this process until all PID acronyms have been selected. Press Button 7, to view all selected PIDs.
