Windshield Washer Fluid Level Warning

  1. Fluid level sensor maintains an open circuit when fluid level is full. When fluid level is low, sensor is grounded.
  2. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect wiring harness connector at fluid level sensor. Fluid level sensor is located in fluid reservoir in left front corner of engine compartment. Turn ignition on. No warning should be displayed on instrument cluster.
  3. Turn ignition off. Connect jumper wire across fluid level sensor wiring harness terminals. Warning should now be displayed on instrument cluster. If warning is not displayed, check circuit No. 82 (Pink/Yellow wire) between instrument cluster connector C2-2 and fluid level sensor for open.
