Speed Control Indicator

  1. Speed control indicator comes on when cruise control is activated. Speed control indicator informs driver speed control module is controlling vehicle speed. Indicator will go out when brakes are applied or cruise control is turned off.
  2. Ensure speed control operation is being maintained. If indicator will not come on, check for open in circuit No. 203 (Orange/Light Blue wire) between speed control amplifier and instrument cluster connector C2-2. See Figure and Figure .
  3. If indicator remains on, check for short to ground in circuit No. 203 (Orange/Light Blue wire) between speed control amplifier and instrument cluster connector C2-2. See Figure and Figure .
  4. Speed control amplifier is located behind right side of instrument panel, near glove box, and contains a 6-pin and an 8-pin connector.
