Door Ajar Warning

  1. Door switches are open when doors are closed, and closed when door is open. When switch is closed, warning on instrument cluster is displayed.
  2. Open door, and disconnect wiring harness to door switch in door. Turn ignition on. No warning should be displayed on instrument cluster.
  3. Connect jumper wire between switch wiring harness terminal and ground. Warning should be displayed on instrument cluster. If warning is not displayed, check circuit No. 627 (Black/Orange wire) between instrument cluster connector C2-2 and switch for open.
