Coolant Temperature Gauge

  1. Instrument cluster monitors signals from coolant temperature sensor, and displays coolant temperature. Bars in gauge should light up from bottom upward as coolant temperature increases.
  2. If gauge does not operate correctly, check for opens or shorts in circuit No. 39 (Red/White wire) between instrument cluster connector C2-2 and sending unit.
  3. Instrument cluster will display upper 2 and lower 2 bars in temperature gauge if a problem exists in sending unit or wiring circuit.
