Test FA, Instantaneous Fuel Economy Or Average Fuel Economy Always Reads 0 Miles/Gallon Or 99L/100 KM Or 99 Miles/Gallon Or 0 L/100 KM
- Checking Speedometer Operation: Ensure speedometer is operating correctly. If speedometer is operating correctly, proceed to step 2). If speedometer is not operating correctly, see TEST SF.
- Checking Fuel Flow Circuit Continuity: Check for continuity or shorts between instrument cluster connector C2-2, pin No. 22 (Dark Blue/Light Green wire) and EEC-IV control module pin No. 34 (Dark Blue/Light Green wire). EEC-IV module is located on left corner of firewall, near brake booster, and contains a 60-pin connector.
- If wiring is defective, repair as necessary. If wiring is okay, proceed to step 4).
- hecking For Fuel Flow Pulses: Verify proper operation of EEC-IV module. See SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - EEC-IV in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
- If EEC-IV module is operating correctly, replace instrument cluster. Install door pillar sticker to indicate instrument cluster has been replaced. If EEC-IV control module is not operating correctly, replace fuel flow sensor system as required.
