Message Center Switch Module: Removal

  1. Disable air bag system. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS  . Apply parking brake. Unsnap center moldings on both sides of instrument cluster. Remove steering column cover and shroud.
  2. Remove knobs or auto dim and auto lamp (if equipped). Remove instrument panel screws. Pull instrument panel outward.
  3. Disconnect electrical connections as necessary, and remove instrument panel from front of instrument cluster. Remove retaining screws and switch module from rear of instrument panel.
