Removal [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    Refer to BEFORE DISCONNECTING BATTERY [11/2021 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [11/2021 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [03/2024 - ]
  4. DISCONNECT NO. 2 EARTH WIRE 

    See step  2

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2021 - 03/2022] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2022 - 03/2024] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [03/2024 - ]

  6. REMOVE CAM TIMING CONTROL MOTOR WITH EDU ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:

    If the cam timing control motor with EDU assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  7. REMOVE CAM TIMING CONTROL MOTOR O-RING
