- REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13
- REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT
- Prepare a clean durable piece of cloth and fold it several times.
HINT:
Fold the cloth several times to make it thicker.
- Pass the cloth under the V-ribbed belt between the crankshaft pulley and water pump pulley as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Position the cloth so that the part closest to the engine is longer.
- Slightly rotate the crankshaft pulley clockwise so that the cloth is pulled between the V-ribbed belt and crankshaft pulley.NOTE:
Make sure that the cloth is pulled around no more than 50% of the pulley.
- While gradually rotating the crankshaft pulley clockwise, pull the side of the cloth that is outside of the V-ribbed belt away from the engine.NOTE:
Pull the cloth until part of the V-ribbed belt comes off the crankshaft pulley.
- Continue to rotate the crankshaft pulley clockwise until the V-ribbed belt is completely removed from the crankshaft pulley.
- Prepare a clean durable piece of cloth and fold it several times.
