Removal [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [09/2023 - 12/2023] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 [12/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22
  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  6. REMOVE BATTERY COVER LOCK STRIKER 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16
  7. REMOVE INVERTER TERMINAL COVER 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 17
  8. REMOVE INVERTER COVER GASKET 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 31
  9. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18
  10. INSTALL INVERTER COVER GASKET 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
  11. INSTALL INVERTER TERMINAL COVER 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19
  12. INSTALL BATTERY COVER LOCK STRIKER 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10
  13. INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19
  14. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20
  15. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 58
  16. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]

  17. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.
      2. Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  18. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.
      2. Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

  19. REMOVE COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      *a Connector (A) *b Connector (B)
      *c Green-colored Lock - -
      Slide - -
      1. Slide the green-colored lock of the connector (A) as shown in the illustration to release it and disconnect the connector.
        WARNING:

        Make sure to wear insulated gloves.

        NOTE:

        Insulate the disconnected terminals and connector (A) with insulating tape.

      2. Disconnect the connector (B).

      1. Remove the bolt and 2 nuts.
      2. Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts and compressor with motor assembly.
