Removal [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM 

    See step  1 [09/2023 - 12/2023], or see step  1 [12/2023 - ]

  2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH 
    1. for 1Motor-HEV Model:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

    2. for Gasoline Model:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH 
    1. for 1Motor-HEV Model:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

    2. for Gasoline Model:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 
    1. for 1Motor-HEV Model:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

    2. for Gasoline Model:

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - 12/2023] , or refer to REMOVAL [12/2023 - ]

  7. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  8. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  9. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  10. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [12/2023 - ] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [12/2023 - ]

  11. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH BELT HOLE COVER RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [12/2023 - ] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [12/2023 - ]

  12. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [12/2023 - ] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [12/2023 - ]

  13. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM COVER RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 36

  14. DISCONNECT REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [12/2023 - ] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 13 [12/2023 - ]

  15. REMOVE DECK TRIM POCKET COVER 
    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 38
  16. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39

  17. REMOVE ROPE HOOK 
    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 40
  18. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the rope hook.
  19. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 42

  20. REMOVE REAR WINDOW SIDE GARNISH RH 
    1. Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

      Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 44

  21. REMOVE COOLER PLATE

  23. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SIDE AIR DUCT

  24. DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

      1. Using pliers, grip the claws and slide the clip, and then disconnect the rear outlet heater water hose K.
        NOTE:
        • Do not apply excessive force to the rear outlet heater water hose K.
        • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

      1. Using pliers, grip the claws and slide the clip, and then disconnect the rear inlet heater water hose G.
        NOTE:
        • Do not apply excessive force to the rear inlet heater water hose G.
        • Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

      1. Remove the bolt.
      2. Rotate the hook connector as shown in the illustration and disconnect the cooler refrigerant suction pipe C.
      3. Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant suction pipe C.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

      1. Disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe C.
      2. Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe C.
        NOTE:

        Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.
