Removal [09/2023 - ]: Procedure

- PERFORM RESOLVER INITIALIZATION NOTE:
If it is necessary to replace the transaxle assembly with motor, make sure to perform resolver initialization before starting work.

- REMOVE ENGINE WITH TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY WITH MOTOR AND INVERTER
Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]
- REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET CAP
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 45 - INSTALL ENGINE HANGER
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 46 - REMOVE WATER BY-PASS HOSE ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
- REMOVE NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING HOSE ASSEMBLY
- DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE
- for Rear Side:
Release the lock Rotating the lock lever - Disconnect the connector from the rack and pinion power steering gear assembly.
HINT:
Release the lock before rotating the lock lever.
- Remove the bolt to disconnect the engine wire.
- Disengage the 3 clamps.
- Remove the bolt to disconnect the earth wire.
- Disengage the clamp to disconnect the engine wire.
- Disconnect the connector from the rack and pinion power steering gear assembly.
- for Front Side:
*a Bolt *b Nut Rotating the lock lever - - - Disengage the clamp and disconnect the 5 connectors to disconnect the engine wire.
HINT:
Release the lock before rotating the lock lever.
- Remove the bolt and nut to disconnect the engine wire.
- Disengage the clamp and disconnect the 5 connectors to disconnect the engine wire.
- for Rear Side:
- REMOVE TCM
See step 5 - REMOVE NO. 1 TCM BRACKET

- REMOVE STEERING GEAR HEAT INSULATOR

- DISCONNECT HV AIR CONDITIONING WIRE
- REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET
- REMOVE FLYWHEEL HOUSING SIDE COVER
- REMOVE HV WATER PUMP BRACKET
- REMOVE FRONT FRAME ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 59
- DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE
- REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET
- REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 62
- REMOVE REAR ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET
- REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE AND INVERTER STIFFENER
- REMOVE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY WITH MOTOR AND INVERTER NOTE:
- To avoid damaging the knock pins, do not pry between the transaxle assembly with motor and inverter and engine assembly.
- To prevent the splines of the transmission input damper assembly from becoming misaligned, do not allow the transaxle assembly with motor and inverter to hit the transmission input damper assembly during transaxle assembly with motor and inverter removal and installation.
- REMOVE RESOLVER THERMISTOR WIRE
- REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET
- REMOVE UPPER INVERTER COVER
See step 7 - DISCONNECT NO. 1 INVERTER BUSBER PLATE
See step 8 - DISCONNECT BREATHER HOSE
See step 13 - REMOVE HYBRID MOTOR CONTROL INVERTER ASSEMBLY

See step 16 - REMOVE SHIFT CONTROL ACTUATOR BRACKET
HINT:
Perform this procedure only when replacement of the shift control actuator bracket is necessary.
