Removal [09/2023 - 12/2023]: Procedure

- REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [09/2023 - ]
- DISCONNECT FRAME WIRE
- REMOVE REAR TRANSAXLE WITH MOTOR AND INVERTER ASSEMBLY
- Using a mini crane and 2 belt slings, hold the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly.WARNING:
- Do not lift the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly more than necessary.
- When lifting the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly, make sure it is well balanced.
NOTE:- Lightly shake the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly by hand to make sure it is securely held while performing work.
- Do not shake the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly excessively while holding it.
*1 Upper Motor Mounting Stopper *2 Lower Motor Mounting Stopper - Remove the 4 bolts, 2 upper motor mounting stoppers, 2 lower motor mounting stoppers and rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly from the rear suspension member sub-assembly.NOTE:
- Be careful not to drop the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly.
- Be careful not to damage the installation surfaces of the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly when removing it.
- Remove the 4 bolts, 2 upper motor mounting stoppers, 2 lower motor mounting stoppers and rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly from the rear suspension member sub-assembly.
- Using a mini crane and 2 belt slings, hold the rear transaxle with motor and inverter assembly.
- REMOVE FRAME WIRE
Push down and disconnect the lever - - - Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the frame wire.
- Disconnect the rear motor temperature sensor connector.
- Disconnect the motor resolver and transmission fluid temperature sensor connector.
- Disconnect the oil pump connector.
- Disconnect the 2 inverter connectors.NOTE:
Disconnect the inverter connector by releasing the claw and pushing the lever down.
- Disengage the 8 clamps to remove the frame wire.
- REMOVE NO. 1 TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HOSE ASSEMBLY
*1 Retainer - - Release the retainer - - - Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly from the rear transaxle motor cooling cooler.
- Release the retainer and disconnect the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly from the EV motor control inverter assembly as shown in the illustration.
- Disengage the 2 clamps to remove the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly.NOTE:
After removing the No. 1 transmission oil cooler hose assembly, plug the coolant pipe and hose with hose plugs or wrap them with plastic bags to prevent coolant from spilling onto surrounding parts or foreign matter from entering the coolant path.
- REMOVE NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING HOSE ASSEMBLY
*1 Retainer - - Release the retainer - - - Release the retainer and disconnect the No. 1 inverter cooling hose assembly from the EV motor control inverter assembly as shown in the illustration.
- Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 inverter cooling hose assembly from the rear transaxle motor cooling cooler.
- Disengage the 3 clamps to remove the No. 1 inverter cooling hose assembly.NOTE:
After removing the No. 1 inverter cooling hose assembly, plug the coolant pipe and hose with hose plugs or wrap them with plastic bags to prevent coolant from spilling onto surrounding parts or foreign matter from entering the coolant path.
- REMOVE MOTOR MOUNTING STAY RH
- REMOVE REAR MOTOR MOUNTING INSULATOR RH
- REMOVE MOTOR MOUNTING INSULATOR LH
- REMOVE UPPER INVERTER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
