Installation [12/2023 - ]: Procedure

- INSTALL CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY (for Intake Side of Bank 2)
- Apply engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Do not damage the O-ring.
- Apply adhesive to threads of 2 new bolts.
Adhesive
Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent
- Install the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly to the timing chain cover assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
NOTE:- If the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or moved out of place when installing the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly.
- Connect the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly connector.
- Apply engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly as shown in the illustration.
- INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 - INSTALL REAR ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH

- INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 - CONNECT RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

- INSTALL ELECTRIC HEATER SUB-ASSEMBLY

- INSTALL CAM TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2)
- Apply engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly as shown in the illustration.NOTE:
Do not damage the O-ring.
- Apply adhesive to threads of 2 new bolts.

Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent
- Install the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly to the timing chain cover assembly with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 10 N.m (102 kgf/cm, 7 ft.lbf)
NOTE:- If the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.
- Make sure that the O-ring is not cracked or moved out of place when installing the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly.
- Connect the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly connector.
- Apply engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the cam timing oil control solenoid assembly as shown in the illustration.
- CONNECT INTERCOOLER RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

- ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine)

- INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK

- INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

HINT:
When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
